Hi. I recently re-discovered Almost Heaven but enjoyed it by audiobook. The book mentioned Ian's initials to be I.G.B.T. But I do not remember it being fully mentioned. During a fan meet up with Judith in 1999 this same question was asked. Ian's full name is not provided in the published version of Almost Heaven, however, Judith provided his full name in a pre-published version of the manuscript. Sadly, she did not recall it off hand and to the best of my knowledge has never publically provided Ian's middle names.

I always wondered that too slim. Naomi, I wish that had made it into the final manuscript. It has bugged me for years. What could it be? Ian George Barrett Thornton? Gerald Benjamin? I cannot think of anything Ian-worthy.

Is it weird that I actually kind of like your first suggestion? lol... It rolls off the tongue and sounds so regal and upper crust when said aloud.
